The Great Smoky Mountains series is influenced by recent travels in America. I found myself in awe of the scenery, nature, weather and wildlife there and was inspired to capture all of this and my emotional response to it by using colour, texture and form to produce this series of images.
The Oconaluftee river runs through Cherokee, North Carolina. This artwork portrays a trek taken in autumn, down the riverside path searching for a glimpse of the wild elk that live there.
