I have a deep and long-term love of Saltburn. It was our 'go to' day out when mum and dad's health was failing. We'd sit on the bench at the top of the funicular to people watch and gaze out to sea. Mine and mum's favourite topic was Huntcliff's ever-changing moods. Altered by weather, season, lighting, and indeed by our individual state of mind at the time, we'd discuss the cliff's strata and the array of colours we could see in the rock that made them.
The Soul of Huntcliff series (1-6): Today was a good day. Dad was employing his acerbic wit watching the crowds alighting and disembarking the funicular whilst mum and I were laughing at the mess we'd made with our rapidly melting ice creams.
